IASO Thessalias’ Department of Orthopedics is staffed by highly trained scientific and nursing personnel, with significant experience in applying groundbreaking techniques both in conservative and invasive treatments, 24-hours a day.
Surgical operations are performed in dedicated and effectively equipped operating rooms (special orthopedic tables, state-of-the-art C-ARM surgical imaging equipment) for closed surgery, where necessary.
We apply minimally invasive surgery techniques which result in short hospitalization time and a shorter rehabilitation period.
AT the Clinic we deal with trauma and chronic cases assisted by teams of physicians and concurrent support by all specialties.
Trauma: Intramedullary nailing, dynamic and functional fracture fixation, internal osteosynthesis, hemiarthroplasty.
Arthroscopic surgery: Ligamentoplasty of posterior and anetrior cruciate ligament, meniscus suture, rotator cuff on the shoulder, chondroplasty, osteochondritis dissecans.
Surgical repair of the joints: Hip, knee replacement, replacement phalangophalangeal joints, hallux valgus deformity, claw toe, tendon transfer with functional rehabilitation of the joint spasticity.
Spine: Treatment of fractures, intervertebral disc hernia with microdiscectomy or discoplasty, vertebral constriction or spinal deformities.
