On Wednesday, July 8, IASO Thessalias organized, in the area of Central Laboratories, voluntary blood donation in collaboration with the mobile blood donation unit of the General Hospital of Larissa.
This effort, which is an expression of social solidarity, was supported actively by associates doctors and the staff of IASO Thessalias once again offering blood, such a valuable commodity for humans, with deficient stocks especially during summer.

The informative speech on "Classification of breast findings with Bi-Rads method" was successfully organized at IASO Thessalias on Thursday, July 2, 2015 in the auditorium of the Clinic. The speech was attended by many doctors of different specialties with particular interest.
Keynote speaker was the Scientific Responsible Physician of the department of Medical Imaging Mr. George Batsikas, Ultrasound Specialist. The doctors who participated had the opportunity to learn about the Breast Lesions Classification System Bi-Rads which is a commonly accepted code among doctors of all specialties involved in breast diseases.
Obstetrics Anaesthesiology Workshop - New Data
The "Obstetrics Anaesthesiology Workshop - New Data" which was held in IASO Thessalias, was successfully completed on June 6, 2015 as part of the Scientific Events of the Clinic's Anaesthisiology Department.
Purpose of the workshop was the presentation of multidisciplinary developments and topical issues in the field of obstetrics anaesthesiology. Τhe packed auditorium of IASO Thessaly was attended by doctors throughout Thessaly, who had the opportunity to learn and exchange views.

B.S.S. Training Course at the premises of IASO Thessalias
The Associate Professor of the Surgery Clinic of the University of Thessaly Mr. D. Zacharoulis, in cooperation with the British College of Surgeons, organized the B.S.S. Course (Basic Surgical Skills) in Greece, at the premises of IASO Thessalias, in Larissa on 24 and 25 April 2015.
The B.S.S. Course is a 2-day training course. There are held two courses annually, and in each one of them 24 physicians experts surgeons are trained to basic surgical principles by 10 skilled trainers.
The instructors are excellent surgeon doctors who were trained specifically by advisers of the British College of Surgeons to achieve the aims of the British College of Surgeons.
