The THIN PREP PAP TEST (liquid phase cytology) is an important development of the PAP TEST, improving diagnostic reliability. The new molecular cytology examination HPV DNA TEST, allows for detection and standarization of the viral DNA of human papiloma (HPV), which is an essential factor for the development of precancerous lesions and cervical cancer. It is recommended along with the PAP TEST for screening of women over 30 years old. In the same material of the THIN PAP TEST can be detected with molecular techniques many other pathogenic microorganisms responsible for sexually transmitted diseases. The fine-needle puncture is a proven, sideffect-free, palpable lesions biopsy technique of breast, thyroid gland, salivary, lymph, nodes etc. Nowadays, this method acquires new features and further diagnostic accuracy increase by using ultrasound to guide the needle.
